Announcing the 2025 Global Food-Tech Awards (American Heat)

Hydrosome Labs Named Winner of the 2025 Global Food-Tech Awards American Heat at Future Food-Tech San Francisco
The stage was set for innovation at Future Food-Tech San Francisco as Hydrosome Labs, a groundbreaking start-up based in Chicago, was announced as the winner of the 2025 Global Food-Tech Awards American Heat. This prestigious award, in collaboration with Future Food-Tech and FoodNavigator, shines a spotlight on emerging food-tech start-ups that are pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Hydrosome Labs impressed the judges with their innovative use of nanotechnology to create ultrafine bubbles —or HydrosomesTM— that enhance nutrient and gas delivery to cells. These bubbles differ significantly from conventional bubbles visible to the naked eye. Their key difference is their capability to improve the delivery of vital ingredients —such as nutrients, vitamins, gases (e.g. oxygen) and water— to cells and tissues.
As the winner of the American Heat, Hydrosome Labs now advances to the final competition, where they will face two other winners from the EMEA and APAC heats. This presents a unique opportunity for the start-up to compete on a global stage and secure visibility, investment, and partnerships that could accelerate its growth and impact.
The Global Food-Tech Awards offer an unparalleled platform for start-ups to connect with venture capitalists, major CPG players, and key media outlets—helping them take their innovations to the next level. For Hydrosome Labs, this victory brings them closer to unlocking new opportunities and collaborations to further scale their technology.
Congratulations to Hydrosome Labs and all the finalists for their remarkable contributions to the future of food-tech!
