Anne Pitkowski
Executive Director of Research & Applications at Bel Group
Dr. Anne Pitkowski holds an engineering degree in Agro-Industry from Polytech Lille and earned her PhD from Université du Maine.
From 2002 to 2007, Anne conducted research at the academic laboratory IMMM (CNRS-UMR6120), focusing on soft polymers. She joined Bel in 2008 to lead studies on the micro and macrostructure of food polymers in dairy products. Her contributions to casein research and the thermodynamics of blends have been recognized through numerous publications and her role as a thesis reviewer.
After eight years of research and completing additional training in Industrial Property (INPI), she assumed leadership of the Group Protection of Innovation and Open Innovation. Anne is a firm believer that scientific research is the foundation of innovation and has driven the integration of new areas such as oral processing, plant-based, alternative proteins, and Data & AI into the Research department.
Since 2021, Anne has been heading the Research & Application Division, which encompasses Applied Research (focused on accelerating innovation and pioneer the future), Open Innovation (leveraging external expertise and managing ecosystems), and Innovation Capabilities (including R&D labs, pilot projects, and data & AI management). Her commitment to addressing the challenges facing the food industry—related to environmental sustainability, health, and population growth—has led to numerous partnerships and strategic collaborations with food tech startups.
