David Lestage
David is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career in Research & Development, known for his persistent push for the art of the possible through innovation and excellence. Currently serving as the Global Chief R&D Officer of Kellanova, he plays a pivotal role in guiding the company's technical community with a strategic vision for the 118-year-old startup.
With almost 20 years of experience, David brings a wealth of knowledge and a track record of success across the Biotech and Consumer Packaged Goods industries in domestic and international markets. From startups to multinational companies, his entrepreneurial mindset in business development and product design has led to double-digit growth in multiple markets, significant intellectual property with over 30 publications and patents, and global recognition, including the Technology Pioneer Award at the World Economic Forum.
Leveraging experience developing new business innovation for the Clorox Company, inventing technical solutions for Silicon Valley Cleantech startups, and driving growth through his leadership of PepsiCo Foods Asia and North America, David brings a perpetual drive for market leadership through technical curiosity, global trends, open innovation, and breakthrough technology. He is best known for his passion for challenging the status quo, testing the unknown, inspiring culture, and his talent for creating the future.
David holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Polymer Chemistry & Engineering. He has lived and worked in Asia and Europe and resides in Chicago, IL, with his wife Keri and their three children, Jackson, Colton, and Drea.
