Jung Sook Han
Jung Sook Han is the Head of R&D at the Food R&D Center of Samyang Corporation, where she leads the company’s research strategy, product innovation, and technology development to advance Samyang’s mission as a solution partner dedicated to creating a healthier and more enjoyable food culture for humanity. Since joining Samyang in 1996, she has built nearly three decades of expertise in starch chemistry, food processing, and functional food ingredients, driving the development of science-based and health-oriented food solutions.
Throughout her career, she has led numerous research initiatives focused on carbohydrate-based ingredients, metabolic health–enhancing functionalities, prebiotics, and next-generation sweeteners such as allulose. Her research has contributed to expanding scientific understanding and practical applications of functional carbohydrates in modern food systems. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Food Science and Technology from Seoul National University.
