Steve Molino is a Principal at Synthesis Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on backing visionary founders redefining our food system. Synthesis Capital aims to foster the transition to a food system that is both sustainable and fit-for-purpose – feeding a growing population in a nutritionally complete, and equitable, way within planetary boundaries. With Synthesis, Steve focuses on new investment activity, portfolio company support, and broader firmwide strategy initiatives. Previously, Steve led the investment activity at Clear Current Capital as a Partner and Head of Investments focused on opportunities in early-stage sustainable food and agriculture. He also has prior experience at leading impact investment VC firms in sustainable food, as well as in the alternative investments and strategy consulting spaces. Steve is a mentor with various industry organizations, including The Good Food Institute, ProVeg Incubator, Nucleate, and others. He received his B.S. in Finance from The College of New Jersey and an MBA from Columbia Business School with concentrations in Impact Investing, Strategy, and Behavioral Economics.
